Fire Alarm Engineer, Peterborough

A very well established company with over 45 years safeguarding businesses, schools, hospitals, prisons and farms from the menace of fire.  They now require a Fire Alarm Engineer to join their friendly team based in Peterborough. The successful candidate will earn up to £30,000 basic plus on call per year, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the industry
  • Must live in Peterborough and surrounding area
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Proof of right to work in UK
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Have sound electrical principals
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Be computer literate
  • Be Self motivating
  • Be a reliable timekeeper
  • Proof of competence through training certification

Role Responsibilities

  • Installation, Commissioning and Servicing of Fire Alarm, Security Systems, CCTV, & Access Control
  • Have experience in Fault Finding
  • Work to all relevant current British Standards, BAFE, SSAIB Standards and current electrical regulations
  • Ability to use PDA based software for job allocation and reporting
  • Liaison with relevant head office staff & Customers
  • Work on call rota, 1 week in 4
