Job Description

An award winning building contractors based in London and the Southeast are currently recruiting for a Site Supervisor with sound knowledge of building technology.

Salary range £45,000-£60,000 dependant on specific Fire and carpentry skills. Good opportunity for training and development on entry level salary for B M Trada and other associated personal development. This is very much a hands on role and they will need to be able to fit a fire door and be working on site but also have opportunity to progress, so would suit an experienced site manager whose background is carpentry or someone who has been working with fire stopping projects.  

The supervisors role is to oversee the Company’s practical work on site and assist the Contract Managers and Production Directors in being compliant with current Health and Safety Legislation, internal and external quality assurance processes, customer service and general productivity. They are the first port of call for onsite queries and manage both residents, access and trades people throughout the construction process.

Main duties:
• Uploading all site records to Lets build.
• Understanding scope of works and monitoring adherence to specification.
• Assisting when required, in programming and carrying out work in order to complete the projects to the deadlines.
• H & S - monitoring on site and filling out site H and S file.
• Assisting with quantifying mid-contract.
• Assisting with the co-ordination of sub-contractors on site.
• Supervising the works on site and taking records of works completed.
• Liaise with residents, clients and sub-contractors.
• Managing the project in line with contract to ensure deadlines and compliance are met with the specification.
• Identify needs for job specific RAMS.
• Conduct condition, quality surveys and snagging reports.
• Keeping site records including a daily diary and all Health and safety inspections.
• Managing the flow of materials and plant.
• Contribute to fortnightly client updates.
• Delivering tool box talks.

Person Specification:
• SSSTS qualification
• A minimum of 2 years working in a BM Trada OR similar role OR being willing to work towards a qualification
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Sound knowledge of building technology with the ability to read and interpret different specifications.
• Proactive and clear approach to problem solving.
• Ability to multitask and strategize in different situations.
• Ability to work and carryout projects within a stipulated timeframe or deadline under management direction.
• Drive to succeed with a modern growing Company.
