Job Description

I am seeking a full-time Fire Risk Consultant to join my clients dynamic team, delivering comprehensive and high-quality fire risk assessments to a diverse range of clients. This clientfacing role requires you to engage and collaborate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including clients, members, and industry professionals such as engineers, architects, and other specialists. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your knowledge, skills, and expertise, contributing to your professional growth while supporting the commitment to excellence in fire safety.
Salary range £45,000 to £50,000
Skills and experience required:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in conducting fire risk assessments across a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and complex buildings.
Proven experience in performing on-site fire risk assessments, including identifying potential hazards, evaluating existing fire safety measures, and recommending improvements.
Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, fostering strong professional relationships and ensuring clear communication.
Ability to lead by example, aligning actions with the policies and values.
A team player who can demonstrate a collaborative style of working, enhancing business and project performance through effective teamwork and mutual support.
Proven ability to deliver client projects to the required standard on time, demonstrating strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
In-depth understanding of fire safety regulations, codes, and best practices, with experience in ensuring compliance in various environments.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with the latest advancements in fire safety technology and methodologies.
High level of attention to detail in all aspects of work; ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in risk assessments and reports.

Qualifications:

Essential
A Level 4 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment, Fire Safety Management, or a closely related field.
Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management.
Proven technical competence in fire safety, demonstrated through certifications or a strong portfolio of work in fire risk assessment.

Desirable
A degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, Fire Risk Management, or a related discipline.
Membership with recognised professional bodies such as the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
Tier 3 status with the IFSM or equivalent or working towards.
Approved validator with the BAFE SP205-1 scheme or willing to work towards achieving this.
