Job Description

My client has been in the Fire & Security indystry for 75 years. They manufacturer high end CCTV, Access & Intercom systems.
They are looking for an Area Sales Manager to be based in or around KENT.

The salary is £40 to £45k plus bonus.
Electric company vehicle, Mobile, Laptop and company expenses.

The Area Sales Manager will manage, develop and grow the Company’s business within the designated area in line with sales and profit targets.

The candidate would IDEALLY have 3 years or more experience working for a security manufacturer and have a track record of external sales experience. A good general knowledge of door entry & access control systems would be an advantage.

Key tasks:
Liaising with customers by telephone or e mail on a daily basis with regard to sales enquiries
Visiting installers, system integrators and wholesalers to promote Fermax solutions
Managing sales channels appropriately to ensure that business opportunities are maximised
Identifying and appointing new sales channels within the area in line with strategy and objectives
Delivering presentations of the Company’s product range to channels and prospects to develop the business
To ensure that all sales and expenses reports are submitted in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Company policies
Representing the needs of the business within the designated area and recommending appropriate strategies to help develop sales.
Eliciting client needs, selling the Fermax solution and communicating project specifications to the commercial and technical department
Liaising with the commercial and technical departments to communicate customer needs and to resolve any issues in a timely and friendly manner
Assisting the Finance Manager to resolve any credit control issues in the designated area
Collaborating with the Company Manager to develop the business in the designated area in accordance with Company objectives and strategy
Relying appropriate competitor information and customer feedback to assist in the development of effective marketing strategies
Any other tasks which the Company Manager may deem appropriate for the achievement of the Company’s sales and profit objectives

The candidate will cover an already thriving region, with multiple existing accounts with existing turnover and spend. The candidate will be expected to maintain, grow and answer all enquiries from these accounts.

The candidate will be required to find and bring new accounts to Fermax using their knowledge of the industry and have a year-on-year growth.

All training will be provided with quarterly training reviews
