Electrical Supervisor – £46,000 to £48,000 basic per year.
My client has been established for 30+ years, specialising in Fire and Electrical Compliance works across a variety of sectors including social housing, Health, and commercial properties.
Daily responsibilities for the Electrical Supervisor includes:
Liaising with Engineers and the office team regarding individual job of work electrical testing programmes, small scale projects and reactive maintenance works.
Provide authoritative technical reports based upon engineer observations as required. Reviewing Engineers job reports daily.
Undertaking work order valuations and desk audits of engineer job sheets and appropriate asset compliance certification as the Electrical Supervisor.
Liaise with operatives on a continuous basis. Processing job valuations and variations Provide reporting and job cost valuations.
Managing plant & test equipment repairs and calibration. Materials, Purchasing & allocating.
Work alongside the Compliance Team to ensure that company procedures are properly executed. Supervise, manage and document a regime of physical and technical inspection and audit to confirm that services, installations and assets are repaired/maintained in a manner that is fully compliant.
Ability and experience of producing small works reports and quotations to Clients based on our engineer’s job recommendations/observations. Support the administration team with technical support regarding small works and compliancy testing.
Requirements for the role for the Electrical Supervisor
Formal electrical qualifications
Must have at least 2 consecutive years as an Electrical Supervisor or managerial responsibility for the standard of electrical installation work.
Understand the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and current edition of BS7671. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, completed apprenticeship, or similar route to qualifying City and Guilds 2391 City & Guilds 2382-22
Full UK Driving Licence
Be computer literate for certificating software and Microsoft Office
Desirable for the role:
Working towards IEng, CEng or MIET Working towards NICEIC QS.
