Fire & Security Engineer – Staffordshire
My client employs 20 engineers across the group but only 4 Fire and Security Engineers so they are looking to make that 6 engineers, the rest are Electricians and also A/C Engineers operating out of the HQ.
They are ideally looking for 2 x Fire and Security Engineers, who can carry out service and maintenance and installation of small works of Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Fire Alarms, CCTV paying up to £35k dependant on experience.
Patch:
Typically covering a 70 mile radius from Burton Office – Notts, Leicester, touching into Birmingham, further afield on an adhoc basis. Ideally live within 40 minutes’ drive of our office DE14.
Systems:
The systems are typically Scantronic Intruder Alarms, Videcom CCTV, Paxton Access Control and Advanced/Gent/Notifier Fire Alarms.
Client base: 60% commercial, 40 high end residential.
Vehicle:Vivaro Van, private mileage is allowed within reason (additional 25 miles a week rule of thumb).
Travel Time:Travel is paid after 30 mins either side of the day.
Overtime:Overtime is paid at normal rate up to 45 hours and time and a half if you do anything over 45 hours.
Hours:Contracted hours 08:00 to 17:00 onsite.
Call out:Call out is circa 1 in 4/5, paid £105 standby amount then paid door to door per physical callout at the applicable rate (depending on the time), most calls are dealt with over the phone, it’s not a busy on call.
Holiday:20 days + Bank Holidays
